News: TOSA - Perfomance based Standards Workshop

In November 2001 the Australian Road Transport Suppliers Association (ARTSA) together with the Australian Trucking Association (ATA), Commercial Vehicle Industry Association of Australia (CVIAA) and the Truck Industry Council (TIC) formed the Truck Operators and Suppliers Alliance (TOSA) to work on specific projects or issues that are of common interest or which the four groups share a common goal. TOSA is not an 'association' or 'organisation' but a co-operative effort by the four bodies with its secretariat based at the CVIAA office to co-ordinate activities.

The two projects initially identified by TOSA as requiring immediate attention are the Performance Based Standards and the over-dimension 25m B-Double problem facing industry and government. On these two issues TOSA will provide a united industry representation to government to result in the best possible outcome.
